Welcome to Mind of Luxe! A one-stop hub of all my inner musings and constant ramblings.

I’m Luxe, a 19-year-old reader and aspiring writer, born and raised in the Philippines. My personality type is apparently ESFP-T, although I highly doubt the Extravarted (E) part so I suggest taking that with a grain of salt.

I started blogging in 2016 but my love for reading started way before that. As a child, I have always been more interested in stories and the written word rather than dolls and outside activities. Now, I don’t entirely remember this incident and I’m basing this purely from my parents’ recollection, but there was one time I went missing in a mall. According to them, my family almost went mad trying to find me and the police almost got involved! Luckily they found me inside a bookshop, completely oblivious and happily surrounded by piles of books.

And as I grew up, so did my love for reading! I have discovered hundreds of different stories since then: from gruesome horror to action-packed adventures to swoon-worthy romance. I mainly enjoy reading Middle Grade and Young Adult novels, especially those in the genres of fantasy, thriller and contemporary, but I’m trying to branch out as a reader more! Through words, I am able to live experiences that transcend my own. And through words, I share my journeys with you as well, in the form of this blog!

When I’m not curled up with a good book, you can find me drafting new story ideas that I would probably never pursue, hence why I have no finished works to account for. My stories are lucky to even reach five chapters before getting junked in my table drawer, never to be seen again. That’s something I should try to work on but that’s also a problem for another day.

My other interests include watching Netflix for hours on end, wasting time I could’ve used productively in The Sims 4, creating Spotify playlists for almost every mood/situation imaginable and goofing around with my closest friends!

From the start, I never wanted to limit my blogging to just about books so I decided on the name Mind of Luxe, which on hindsight, sounds super corny but I cannot be bothered to make the change. Here in my humble blog, you can expect a variety of topics for my post, ranging from books, shows, music, food and so much more. Oh, and expect a lot of rambling too!
