Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Books and A Beat.
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week’s book:
Book Title: Dreamology
Author: Lucy Keating
Publication Date: April 12th 2016
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Science Fiction, YA
Age Range: 13+ years old
Vibrantly offbeat and utterly original, Lucy Keating’s debut novel combines the unconventional romance of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with the sweetness and heart of Jenny Han.
For as long as Alice can remember, she has dreamed of Max. Together, they have traveled the world and fallen deliriously, hopelessly in love. Max is the boy of her dreams—and only her dreams. Because he doesn’t exist.
But when Alice walks into class on her first day at a new school, there he is. Real Max is nothing like Dream Max. He’s stubborn and complicated. And he has a whole life Alice isn’t a part of. Getting to know each other in reality isn’t as perfect as Alice always hoped.
Alarmingly, when their dreams start to bleed into their waking hours, the pair realize that they might have to put an end to a lifetime of dreaming about each other. But when you fall in love in your dreams, can reality ever be enough?
Teaser:
“Alice and I have an old inside joke where we pretend we have clones of each other that we hang out with when the other isn’t around, because that’s how much we miss each other when we aren’t together. Can you beat that?” Sophie asks.
“Do you know that a woman in England just cloned her dachshund? It’s true. I read about it,” I call back to them.
I may or may not have tweaked the rules a little bit this week. The teaser is more than 2 sentences but it wouldn’t have been funny if I did otherwise—at least for me.

This sounds really intriguing! How are you getting on with it – don’t worry about tweaking the rules – I think most people do…:) This is mine… https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/07/12/teaser-tuesday-12th-july-2016/ Happy reading!

Made me laugh! And this scene made me think of a friend I had many years ago. We were so close. She’s since moved away and we lost track of each other. I often wonder what she’s doing now:)

Yes, it’s such a cute read. Could’ve done better in some parts but if you’re looking for a sweet and fun book, I’d say this is worth checking out. 😀

This one has such a cool cover! I wonder what it looks like under the dustjacket! Cool teaser 🙂

The cover was what first attracted me to the book, to be completely honest. And the unique concept of the story, of course. I wouldn’t know what it looks like under the dustjacket because I’m so stupid for buying the ebook copy instead of a hardback. 😦 But I’m considering buying the hardback though, should I do it? 😀

Well, if you really like the book, yes, but if it’s just okay or you don’t think you’ll ever reread it again, then no 😛

Okay, thanks! I think I’ll purchase the hardback. 😀

This one is on my TBR because the synopsis is so very intriguing. It actually reminds me of of Beautiful Creatures and Sarah Rees Brennan’s Unspoken. Have you read either of those? Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Nope, I haven’t read any of them although they’re quite known. I’m so humiliating. 😦 I hope you have a lovely weekend as well. 😀

Oh no, don’t feel bad! Beautiful Creatures was good when it came out, but looking back, I don’t think it was all that great. Unspoken on the other hands is wonderful, so I’d definitely recommend that one.

This book sounds like it is so much fun! I would love to have a clone of my BFF. I would always have her to myself. I hope that you enjoyed this one! 🙂

Yeah, but sadly in this book the clones are just sort of like an inside joke. I would love to read something with clones in it though, haha! Thank you, I really did enjoy this one. 😀
